In the ‚eLearning‘ business unit, we are experts in the creation of eLearning systems and eLearning courses. Our learning software for pilots and aircraft technicians is used by the most renowned airlines, maintenance companies and numerous flight schools worldwide. Our team consists of over 40 media designers, communication engineers and highly qualified media technicians.

Company history

infoWERK from its beginning until today

Since our founding in 1994 our goal has been to develop and deliver modular and integrated solutions for training & communication.

1994	In 1994 we started the development of eLearning content mainly for the aviation industry and developed our own Learning Management System.
2000	In 2000 infoWERK won the Austrian Multimedia Award.
2003	In 2003 we expanded our activities creating a link between eLearning and traditional classroom teaching. As one of the pioneers of hybrid communication solutions, we began to integrate audio-visual presentation systems into seminar and conference rooms, thus to provide conference rooms with the necessary equipment. Since then we have been able to offer and deliver integrated turn-key solutions for media & technology in the online as well as offline world.
2007	In 2007 we expanded to Germany. With our own subsidiary in Stuttgart, we are able to offer on-site service for media technology to our customers in the entire DACH countries (Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH)). Since then, Germany has become our most important market and a driving force for the continuous improvement of our products and services. A new version of our Learning Management System was also released.
2012	In 2012, we started the development of a Virtual Classroom to bridge the gap between eLearning and traditional classroom teaching.
2014	Another system solution, the ‚Virtual Meeting Room - iv-meet‘ was developed in 2014 to connect small meeting rooms and enable both offline and online meetings, virtual lectures or desktop sharing.
2018	Between 2014 and 2018, many new partners and customers were acquired in both the eLearning and media technology sectors. New product developments achieved great attention during this period and in 2018, for example, infoWERK won the eLearning Award for its Competency-Based Training.
2019	Since 2019, we have been developing, integrating and installing high-quality media technology in designer furniture from the Swiss manufacturer ‚USM Haller‘. In our infoWERK ‚Technik Manufaktur‘ mobile and modular communication systems are tailor-made for hybrid meetings and as plug-and-play media technology offer the ideal equipment for agile interaction spaces.
2022	In 2022 our work was impressively confirmed by being named one of Germany's TOP 100 Innovators. At the European eLearning Award 2022, we again succeeded in winning an award from over 300 submissions from all over Europe.

2024	In 2024, we moved into new company buildings in both Innsbruck and our German branch. This allowed us to significantly enlarge and optimize our manufacturing workshop. With this expansion, we can now export our media furniture worldwide. For this purpose, our media furniture website was made multilingual to better reach our international customers. We also introduced new innovations in the eLearning sector by integrating artificial intelligence into our LMS.
2025	In 2025, our innovative strength was once again impressively confirmed: With the infoTERMINAL of System L, one of our in-house developed media furniture systems, we won the prestigious BIG SEE Design Award. In addition, the modular furniture system System L was granted the European patent.
