Course Description
This course provides basic maintenance training for Turboprop Engines, with a specific focus on the Pratt and Whitney PW 123 B engine. It begins with an introduction to turboprop engines and discusses their modular design, which includes a reduction gearbox module and a turbomachinery module.
The turbomachinery features a three-concentric-shaft design with components such as a high-pressure centrifugal compressor, low-pressure compressor, high-pressure turbine, low-pressure turbine, power turbine, and drive shaft. The second part of the course covers Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
