EWIS Course E for Target Group 7 & 8

Course Description

The online EWIS Course E (Target Group 7 & 8) is based on EASA AMC 20-22 and FAA AC120-94 and designed for flight deck and cabin crew. The course focuses on General Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) practices, with an emphasis on safety and inspection. It is informed by investigations into two major airline accidents, both of which were caused by damaged wiring.

The course covers safety procedures and guidelines for maintaining electrical systems important also for flight and cabin crew, stressing the importance of safety notices such as NOTE, CAUTION, and WARNING in maintenance manuals. By addressing the lessons learned from these accidents, the course aims to enhance awareness of the critical role of wiring safety and the proper handling of electrical systems within aircraft.
