Course Description
The Low Visibility - CAT III incl. EVS Training is designed for both initial and refresher training, aiming to enhance awareness of potential challenges when operating in low visibility conditions with almost zero visibility landings in some cases. The online course familiarizes flight crews with relevant regulations and procedures, fulfilling the requirements of AMC/GM TO ANNEX V (PART-SPA) and AMC1 SPA.LVO.120 (b) for flight crew training and qualifications.
This course covers various topics such as the Instrument Landing System (ILS), visual aids, fog, precipitation, ice accretion, wind shear, turbulence, and system malfunctions. It also addresses Runway Visual Range (RVR) assessment, obstacle clearance, communication procedures, and pilot qualification requirements, ensuring safe and efficient operations during low visibility or adverse weather conditions.
