Course Description

The Route Competence Training for the African continent has been designed to meet the requirements of AMC1 ORO.FC.105(b)(2);(c) Designation as pilot-in-command/commander; ROUTE/AREA AND AERODROME KNOWLEDGE FOR COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS.

The students learn how to master the essential procedures and ICAO regulations for aircraft operations in the Africa (AFI) region. They learn how to maintain a listening watch on 126.9 MHz, apply the Inflight Broadcast Procedure (IFBP) in designated Flight Information Regions (FIRs), and ensure safe cruising level changes. The course enhances situational awareness with proper aircraft lighting and collision avoidance protocols. It is ideal for pilots and aviation professionals operating in AFI airspace, ensuring compliance with international safety standards.
