Course Description
The Route Competence Training provides comprehensive guidance on aviation regulations in the Caribbean and South American (CAR/SAM) regions. It covers RVSM implementation, airworthiness and operational approval, and ATC service levels across different Flight Information Regions (FIRs).
The course details airspace exceptions, flight planning requirements, weather/turbulence procedures, and altitude transitions. Special regulations for Argentina, Brazil, Belize, Chile, Ecuador, and Paraguay are outlined, along with oceanic operations in the EUR/SAM corridor and the Atlantic Ocean Random Routing RNAV Area (AORRA). Additionally, it includes health precautions, covering hygiene, food safety, and malaria prevention. Security and customs regulations are also addressed for compliance. The course has been designed to meet the requirements of AMC1 ORO.FC.105(b)(2);(c).
