Course Description
This training provides an insight into the Minimum Equipment List (MEL), covering its philosophy, purpose, and significance. The aim of the MEL is to maintain a satisfactory safety standard during aircraft operation with non-functioning equipment, while also optimizing aircraft profitability by preventing Aircraft On Ground (AOG) scenarios.

The Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Training includes the following topics:
For ground personnel dealing with the use of the MEL:
- the scope, extent and use of the MEL;
- placarding of inoperative equipment;
- dispatchingFor crew members:
- the scope, extent and use of the MEL.
For crew members:
- the operator’s MEL procedures;
- elementary maintenance; and
- pilot-in-command/commander responsibilities.
