FOO NEWS: Aviation Competence+ to Support Dispatcher Theory Performance and Decision-Making
infoWERK has launched Aviation Competence+, a digital competence system designed to support flight dispatchers by improving theoretical knowledge application, examination performance, and day-to-day operational confidence.
Aviation Competence+ provides access to more than 100 aviation theory courses through a flexible, streaming-style subscription platform. The system addresses a recurring challenge in FOO/FD training and operations: knowledge gaps in complex theoretical subjects that can affect decision-making, assessment outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Instead of repeating complete theory courses, Aviation Competence+ applies a targeted, gap-based learning approach. Dispatchers can focus exclusively on the subject areas that require reinforcement, using the platform both as an exam preparation tool and as an on-demand reference during operational duties.
“For dispatchers, sound theoretical understanding is essential for safe and efficient flight operations,” said Wolfgang Lachinger, CEO of infoWERK. “Aviation Competence+ was developed to support dispatchers exactly where traditional training often falls short, by enabling targeted reinforcement of complex topics without unnecessary repetition.”
The system supports the application of key dispatcher subjects including Air Law, Performance, Flight Planning, and Meteorology. Positioned as a supplementary competence system, Aviation Competence+ is designed to enhance existing dispatcher training frameworks by improving knowledge retention, operational confidence, and assessment readiness.
Aviation Competence+ is now available via subscription.
